Count It All Joy

Seasons come and seasons go. Sure, there are great things about each season of life, but there are also not so great things about them too. Lately, God has been reminding me over and over again to cling to Him through not only the good times, but also through the trials that can occasionally take jurisdiction over my life.
Most seasons are beyond my control, and many seasons are confusing. However, God wants to bring good out of every season. In Ecclesiastes 3:1, it says that there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.
There was a time in my life when I honestly did not know how God was going to make something good out of the chaos that was my life. However, it is because of what once caused me grief that I now have a story to tell. It is my prayer that now my story can be an encouragement to others, and that God would use it for His good.
The trials that we go through are put in place so that we can gain maturity, wisdom, and integrity. Different trials serve different purposes that can help to strengthen your faith. His plan is for us to put our complete faith in Him when trials come. It is the result of the trial that is the goal of the trial, not the trial itself.
God constantly reminds me that I need Him more and more every day. I know that God is in control, and what it ultimately comes down to is whether or not I am putting my trust in God in every season of my life. In order to do this, I have had to remember to think about what God is trying to teach me, what I can be thankful for in each season, and lastly, how I can glorify God during every season. I would like to challenge those of you reading this to also do the same, and to see God's bigger picture.
With love,
Courtney
